Nutrition Isn’t Just About Food: How I Rebuilt My Relationship with Nourishment
For years, I thought I had a nutrition problem.
I obsessed over what I should eat, when to eat, how much to eat.
I chased control – but never felt truly nourished.
I didn’t arrive at nutrition from a place of curiosity.
I arrived from a place of pain.
Where It Began
At 15, I was diagnosed with anorexia, anxiety, and depression.
That period of my life was marked by restriction, fear, and disconnection- from my body, from food, from myself.
Recovery wasn’t a straight line. But yoga helped me find a way back in – back into my body, back into sensation, and eventually, back into trust.
That trust became the foundation for everything I do now
Later, I went on to study Nutrition at the University of Leeds.
I wanted to understand the science – not just for others, but for myself. I wanted clarity. Empowerment. Answers that weren’t rooted in punishment or fear.
From Perfection to Presence
Even with all the knowledge, I still had to unlearn a lot.
I had to soften my grip.
To let go of “perfect eating” and start listening to my actual needs.
Now, as a yoga teacher, bodyworker, and nutritionist, I work with clients who want to feel better in their skin — physically and emotionally. They want to eat without guilt, move with joy, and support their bodies without burnout or obsession.
That’s the work I love most.
How I Can Support You
Whether you’re looking to:
- Rebuild your relationship with food
- Support your nervous system, digestion, or cycle
- Shift energy, improve habits, or eat with less stress
- Or understand how to nourish yourself seasonally and sustainably-
There’s space here for you.
I offer:

- Support as part of my ~Mentorship program
- A nutrition workshop at my upcoming ~ Tattva Retreat Sri Lanka (Jan 2026)
This isn’t about strict rules.
It’s about education, intuition, and slow, supportive change.
You don’t need to fix your body to begin caring for it.
You just need space to reconnect.
And someone to walk alongside you as you do.
With Love,
Freya
