Welcome to Tattva (तत्त्व)

Tattva means essence, element, truth.
This retreat is an invitation to reconnect with your body, your breath, and your natural rhythm- through the lens of the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether.

Over seven days in the wild beauty of Sri Lanka, you’ll explore movement, meditation, breath, community, touch, creativity, surf and nourishment- in a space designed to restore, reawaken, and realign.

When & Where?

Dates: 4–10 January 2026 (6 nights, 7 days)
Venue: Earth Links Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka a lush eco-retreat centre just 10 minutes walk from the beach

The Venue:

The Food:

Meal times (breakfast, lunch & dinner) will be a chance to come together and enjoy beautifully prepared plant-based meals, crafted by our private chefs. EarthLinks was awarded #1 Vegan Retreat in Sri Lanka and #3 in the World in 2019 – so if you love food that’s both nourishing and delicious, you’re in the right place.

All meals at the retreat are plant-based, thoughtfully designed to be both nourishing and delicious. Our on-site nutritionist ensures every dish supports your wellbeing, and we’re happy to accommodate dietary needs wherever possible.

To give you a taste of the local culture, one lunch will be free for you to explore nearby cafés, and we’ll also enjoy one group dinner out together – the perfect opportunity to socialise, take in the surroundings, and experience authentic Sri Lankan flavour.
(These two meals are not included in the retreat price.)

We’ll also dive deeper into the relationship between food, energy, and wellbeing in a nutrition workshop, where you’ll learn simple, accessible strategies for nourishment that supports your lifestyle – on and off the mat.

Giving Back to the local community:

Because yoga is about more than just ourselves, from every booking we set aside 5 % of net profit for a children’s charity here in Sri Lanka.

  • Where the money goes
We’re finalising the partner organisation with local advisers (announcement coming early October). The focus will be practical support- school supplies, nutrition, safe-play spaces- chosen by people who understand the community first-hand.

  • How it happens
Your contribution is automatic; nothing extra is added at checkout. Once the retreat closes, we make a single transfer to the charity and share the receipt in our post-retreat report so you can see the impact for yourself.

Your week of yoga and ocean time becomes part of a wider effort to open doors for local children. We think that’s a balance worth striking!

FAQ

There are no mandatory vaccinations for entering Sri Lanka from most countries. However, we always recommend checking with your doctor or a travel health clinic for advice tailored to your country and personal health needs.

January is one of the best times to visit the south coast of Sri Lanka. Expect warm sunshine, low humidity, and calm seas — perfect for beach time, surfing, and outdoor yoga. Daytime temperatures are usually around 28–30°C, with cooler mornings and evenings.

Light, breathable clothing, swimwear, sandals, reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, a journal, and any personal wellness items you love. We’ll send a full suggested packing list closer to the retreat!

A maximum of 12 participants. This allows for deep connection, plenty of personal attention, and a genuinely nourishing group space.

The £300 deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than 45 days before the retreat, you’ll receive a full refund of any additional payments. If you cancel within 45 days, no refunds can be given. Option to transfer your spot to a friend/family member for no extra charge, in the case you cannot make it. We highly recommend travel insurance that covers unexpected changes or cancellations.
